Extra Post: Contrary opinion

If you are a human with eyes to see and ears to hear there’s no doubt you’ve heard the name Tom Brady. That name strikes anger into many people because of how successful he has been. Tom Brady is the quarterback of the New England Patriots and one of the winningest quarterbacks in NFL history. This man has mountains of fans, but he also has mountains of people who despise him.

There are many reasons why people call Tom Brady the GOAT (Greatest of all time). Many people attribute him being called the best because of his post season performances with 9 Super Bowl Appearances and 5 Super Bowl wins.

Here are some of the arguments against Tom Brady being the GOAT. Championships aren’t a very good argument when it comes to measuring how good a player is in the sport of football because the team may be extraordinarily good and carry the player to wins. Brady has 5 in 9 appearances with one about to be played in a few weeks. Other arguments are that Brady has comparable stats to other elite quarterbacks, his stats in clutch situations are similar to other elites as well.

While I respect these opinions and I definitely understand where they are coming from, it is hard to have an opinion on this type of thing. For me, I am a Patriots fan so I think Tom Brady is the GOAT. People who aren’t Patriots fans may think the exact opposite and will find arguments to try to prove that he isn’t the best. But for now, my opinion is that Tom Brady is the GOAT because of the stats he has to his name, and the 5 Super Bowl wins.
